I got to know my friend Drew for over twenty years. We spent countless hours talking about movies, about music, about tv and books. So often we talked about nothing at all. At times we found space to talk about the things that troubled us. Drew's friendship became something essential for me. It feels hard to make sense of the world without our regular 2am chats about nothing.
For years Drew was prolific on Twitter. I used to tease him about having an ancient note on his phone which stored tweets he thought weren't quite ready. One of the last times I visited him in Little Rock I convinced him to read me some from the secret stash. His writing will be remembered as a work of High Art.
I made this site to archive Drew's writing. When I miss him the most, Drew's writing will be here as a reminder of his wit, his humor, and of all the time we shared. I hope some of his many friends may find this a fun way to remember him as well.
